The Producers, McLaren Vale – Australian Wine Review

In recent episodes we have been investigating being a winemaker, in particular what it takes to be a winemaker. We started with Justin Lane at Alpha Box and Dice who makes great wines with very few resources but great flair (watch that episode here). Next we attempted our own small batch winemaking with almost no resources. Now we visit “The Producers” in McLaren Vale who walk us step by step through how to be winemakers . This is a great little program that we found through www.visitvineyards.com.au. It’s a wonderful day out to a working vineyard and winery that allow you to get hands on, down and dirty making wine using all their resources. At the end you get a lunch and a chance to drink a little wine as well.
