You picked the area we skirted around unfortunately. I can tell you about Gundagai and Wagga to the west or Shoalhaven to the East but we skipped that area. It is considered part of the Canberra GI, I believe, as far up as Yass. Would love to hear more about the film, Kat and I are taking a break from 10 years in the film industry. Obviously you will have to pick the right time of year to get the right look for your film. It is about to start harvest time around most of Australia so right now there is lots of colour. Being a cool climate area, they are likely to pick a little later (mar/apr), but by may you can expect the vineyards to start looking a little thin and then they will be trimmed and they will go to sleep for the winter - if you want a bleak look, that&#039;s the time to film.

Glad to see that you got something out of our Chambourcin reviews. Nice move having the spicy stuff to balance out the acids on the Tilba Riesling. If you get a chance to get to the Mimosa Chambourcin, it&#039;s definitely worth the effort, unfortunately they don&#039;t make a lot of it so your timing will have to be good.

Love your site, was looking for a good Chambourcin and stumbled across it. I was surprised by your review of the Tilba Riesling, growing up down that way I gave it a crack one day and found it amazing.

I think the thing was, I had it with Oysters Kilpatrick (home made) and a heavily spiced Chinese meal (from the Bodalla Bowling Club... best western style Chinese on the coast)... the acidity actually blended really well with the food.

One winery I will suggest, especially for a Chambourcin is Oakvale in the Hunter. I wasn&#039;t too impressed by the tasting session there, particularly after visiting Brokenwood and Tatlers, but for the price I decided to grab a cab sav (as it wasn&#039;t too bad for the price).

Included was a complimentary bottle of Chambourcin, done properly... had it with a nice Thai meal, I was in 7th heaven.
